How to test using Xylazine testing strips…

What test strips are and what they do…

Strip testing, also known as “immunoassay” testing, involves 1) diluting your drugs in a certain amount of water and 2) dipping a test strip into the mixture to get a positive or negative result for the presence of a particular drug. This test is very useful for determining if one specific drug (like Xylazine) is in your sample.

Test strips are very sensitive, it is extremely important to use the correct ratio of water to substance to avoid getting a false positive or negative.

What is Xylazine?

Xylazine is a non-opioid tranquilizer used as a sedative, analgesic, and muscle relaxant in animals such as horses and cattle[1],[3]. In recent years, xylazine has emerged as an adulterant in recreational drugs such as heroin[2]. Combining xylazine with other drugs that cause central nervous system depression compounds the sedative effects and can increase the risk of overdose and death[2].
